Title Photo Change

The previous photo at the top of my blog was a bit of imprecise, thus I've decided to change it.  Considering that picture was taken during my parents' visit to another region, Sheki, where many tourists go, lush with green mountains and fresh air it doesn't accurately capture my daily life.

This is more like what I see everyday.

Recently a volunteer friend of mine came to visit for the first time.  After a walk around the town she said, "Well, Sara, Zerdab is a whole lot of...nothing."  No offense to the people, but it is true.  I doubt many nationals would argue with that.

I fully agree :) But I am barely a Zardabian, I have grown up in Mingechevir but now my mom have moved to Zardab. I work in baku so I have rented a flat here but our home is Zardab. But I think for people who earn money there Zardab is a beautiful place, or one can build a buitiful garden and a beutiful little house. Fuad

I agree! One of my co-teachers has the largest yard I have seen in AZ and it's quite beautiful in springtime! It's my little haven full of blossoming fruit trees and animal sounds. ;)

Perspective is everything. For those who have little or nothing to compare it to, Zerdab may be a wonderful place. Others who have had the good fortune to travel, know there are truly lovely cities and towns all over the world.
Personally, I dislike flat. Hills or mountains add so much interest and beauty.
The picture of Zerdab certainly isn't flattering. If I was in charge of it's visitors' bureau, I'd seriously search for a more impressive view of the city.
